- Keep beans in an airtight, opaque container at room temperature
- Buy smaller amounts more often
- Don't keep the open bag in the fridge, where it picks up moisture and odors
- Freeze only extra unopened beans, and thaw before opening
- Store tea in airtight tins away from strong smells
