The brew ratio is how much water you use for each gram of coffee. Getting it right fixes most weak or bitter coffee.
Start here
- Try 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water (1:16)
- Stronger: move toward 1:15. Lighter: toward 1:17
- A kitchen scale is more accurate than scoops
- Without a scale, about 2 level tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 ounces of water is a common starting point
