Hi there,
This issue's tip: weigh it once
Put your mug on a kitchen scale, add your usual scoop of coffee and note the grams. Then weigh the water. Most people find they're far off 1:16. Adjust once, write it down, and you'll never need the scale again.

Tea basics: why green tea goes bitter
Boiling water scorches delicate leaves. Let the kettle cool for a few minutes, steep for two, and taste.
Reader question
"Is it really cheaper to make lattes at home?" Usually by a lot, even with good beans and milk. Try our home vs. cafe calculator.
Enjoy your cup,
